SKYFALL
Skyfall was probably one of the most successful Bond films to have been ever made. The budget was unlimited, going over the price of £100 millon. Ever since its release, it took over £100 million at the UK box office. By the 10th of March it had taken over $1.1 billion globally, over £20 million on the opening weekend in the UK and over $88 million on its opening weekend in the USA. It is reported Skyfall's budget is to be $200 million, about £130 million.
Currently, Skyfall is the 7th grossing film of all time and also the highest grossing film ever in the UK. It is also Sony's and MGM's highest grossing film worldwide. Skyfall has been rated 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
DVD Release
Skyfall has been released on DVD Blu Ray in shops around the world. Supermarkets like Sainsburys and Tescos have been selling them along with HMV.
MY BROTHER THE DEVIL
My Brother The Devil was a small, independent, successful film directed by Egyptian director, Sally El Hossaini. The film was made on the budget of £650,000, funded by private investors. Ever since its release, the film has been viewed on 57 screens around England. It has gained £44,833 on its opening weekend and a total of £87,150 on the UK box office.
The film has won numerous international awards like; Best Cinematography at Sundance, Best Newcomer at BFI London Film Festival and Most Promising Newcomer at Evening Standard Film Awards.
The film had a tiny American release on only 2 screens, but it managed to take £10,305 in one weekend opening.
